The late believer Jin-gu Lee,
who has fallen asleep peacefully
After the Sunday English Ministry service today, I was surprised to hear from my church elder in front of the kitchen that a believer Jin-gu Lee had passed away. The reason I was surprised was because I had no idea that he would die so suddenly. At lunchtime, I asked sister in Christ Eun Hee Kim, the daughter of the believer Jin-gu Lee, how the believer Lee was doing and thus I was shocked to hear that he passed away like this. I hurriedly took the Bible and drove to brother in Christ Jeff Lee’s house, who is the youngest son of the believer Jin-gu Lee. Upon arrival, I went into the believer Jin-gu Lee's room and saw him lying on a chair and had fallen asleep peacefully. I touched his hand and it was still warm, but a little cold. As I was looking him die like this, I praised and worshiped God together with his daughter sister in Christ Eun Hee Kim, his son brother in Christ Jeff Lee, and their children next to the body of the believer Jin-gu Lee. (When the late believer Jeong-hyo Choi, the wife of the believer Jin-gu Lee, passed away about 22 months ago, I and Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Lee worshiped God next to the believer Choi's body). We were able to worship God with thanksgiving because God loved and saved the late Jin-gu Lee. His children have been praying for the salvation of their father's soul, and at the funeral of their mother Mrs. Choi, who passed away about two years ago, God worked in the heart of Jin-gu Lee, opened the door of his heart, and gave him grace. And I vividly remember that Jin-goo Lee’s, who came to know God’s love, when I visited his home with my church elder and baptized him. In this way, at the end of the life of the late believer Jin-gu Lee, God allowed him to be received Jesus and be baptized. And then he has fallen asleep peacefully and died while he was sleeping. Therefore, we gave praise to God and worship Him in thanksgiving, and we will do the same at funeral services in the future. Only by the grace of God!
