Forgive before you die
‘Forgive yourself before you die. And forgive others.’
- From ‘Tuesdays with Morrie’ by Mitch Albom –
Forgiveness only after death is not forgiveness.
Forgiveness while you are alive is true forgiveness.
Forgiveness is the only way to save me and live for each other
You must forgive before you die.
Failure to forgive myself and others even in the face of death is not a beautiful death.
What is unforgivable in the face of death? All must be forgiven.
In order to do this, we must remember the death of Jesus on the cross.
And we must face death with an attitude that commemorates His death.
That is, just as Jesus died on the cross to forgive all my sins,
We must forgive ourselves and others in the face of death.
We must do this true forgiveness even in the face of death.
