“If you were given life again,
how would you like to live?”
A scholar named Tony Campolo published the results of a study on the problem of the elderly.
He surveyed 50 elderly people over the age of 95,
‘If you were given life again now, how would you like to live?’
They were asked to give three answers. The three answers to this were as follows:
First, I will live a life of reflection every day.
I've been living without a mind all this time, and I can't even think about why I'm living.
I'll be more mindful.
Second, I lived a very cowardly life.
I lived in compromise with injustice, and lived with the eyes of others.
From now on, I want to live more courageously.
Third, I want to live knowing that there are days like today.
I want to think of death and live. What happens to me after I die?
I regret what I will leave behind.
I am confessing in common that I regret that I bought it without thinking
