We believe in God’s providence.

In raising children, there may be pains such as testing, separation, and death.

But in the meantime, we must believe that God’s sovereign will is being fulfilled in His providence.

Also, we must believe that God will fulfill His will in His time and in His way.

The God of Abraham commanded Abraham to offer his son Isaac,

whom he born unto him when Abraham was 100 years old, in order to test him (Gen. 22).

The God of Isaac made Isaac and his son Jacob to be separated for 20 years (31:38).

The God of Jacob made Jacob known that his beloved son Joseph,

whom he thought was dead at the age of 17 (17:2), became a ruler over all the land of Egypt 22 years later when Joseph was 39 years old (45:26).

Then through Joseph God not only delivered Jacob and all his descendants from the famine

but also preserved their lives (vv. 5, 7).

The God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob has fulfilled His sovereign will

in His time and in His way through Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
