When we hear the word of God

When we hear the word of God, the sword of the Holy Spirit (Eph. 6:17; Heb. 4:12),

The word of God should pierce our hearts (Acts 2:37). 

Then we should rend our hearts (Joel 2:13) and repent our sins.

When I hear the word of God, I hope and pray that my heart becomes tender

and I humble myself before God and I want to repent my sins with mourning. (2 Chron. 34:27)
