The result of staying far away from God?

Like Jonah, even though God called us and gave us a mission,

we may disobey His command and try to run away from God’s presence far away from Him (Jonah 1:1-3).

As a result, we may be put into painful situation in which we are trapped in north, south, east and west.

At that time, even though we try very hard to deliver ourselves from that situation we cannot so we can feel very helpless and powerless.  

And we can feel that God is far away from us.

We can feel that God is far away from us in the midst of pain

due to the result of we are staying far away from Him.
