What God desires from us …

What God desires from us is acknowledgment of God (Hos. 6:6).

But there is no acknowledgment of God in our land (4:1).

We are being destroyed from lack of knowledge of God (v. 6).

Even the pastors are rejecting the knowledge of God (v. 6).

All of us are ignoring the law of God (v. 6).

The number of church members and churches is decreasing now,

but the number of pastors is increasing.

And the more the pastors are increasing, the more they are sinning against God (v. 7).

Therefore, God is changing their glory into shame (v. 7).

The reason why we don’t wan to know God is

because the more we know God, the more our sins will be exposed (Eph. 5:11).  

In other words, the reason why we aren’t pursuing the knowledge of God is

because now we are participating in the unfruitful deeds of darkness (v. 11).

We don’t want to know Him because we are walking in the darkness

even though we keep on saying that we have fellowship with God (1 Jn. 1:6).

We must know God.  Let us press on to know the Lord our God (Hos. 6:3).
