Because of the sin of covetousness

 

 

We are making God angry because of the sin of covetousness.

Therefore, God is hiding His face, is angry and disciplining us with His rod of love.

But we are still going on turning away (Isa. 57:17).

Now we aren’t fearing God.  The reason is because God has been silent even for a long time (v. 11).
