Those who are wise ...
Those who are wise hear (Deut. 1:13, 15, 16). They listen to both sides (v. 16).
They hear both small and great alike (v. 17). And they don’t show partiality in judging (v. 17).
They aren’t afraid of any man (v. 17). Those who are wise judge fairly between both sides (v. 16).
