Dead faith, false faith?

When Prophet Elijah said to all the sons of Israel who gathered at Mount Carmel,

“How long will you hesitate between two opinions? If the LORD is God, follow Him; but if Baal, follow him”,

The people didn’t answer him a word.

Interestingly, when the prophets of Baal called on the name of Baal from morning until noon,

There was no voice and no one answered (1 Kgs. 18:20-26).

It is interesting that both the Israelites and Baal were silent.

I think the silent Israelites resembled the silent Baal.

I think the Israelites had dead faith and false faith that resembled the dead and false god (idol).
