Need to serve the Lord  ...

God delivered the Israelites, who were serving the Egyptians, out of Egypt through Moses

In order to make them to serve God (Exod. 3:1, 9-10, 12).

The Israelites who were delivered and were in front of the Red Sea

Became very frightened when they saw the Egyptians were marching after them

And complained to Moses, “For it would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians

than to die in the wilderness” (14:10-12).

The purpose that God saved us and gave us a new life is to serve God.

But what if we say that we want to go back to our old life and serve the world

and be a slave to sin again because of our fear of death?

In serving the Lord,

We shouldn’t be afraid of our physical death

As those who already have the new life in Jesus Christ.
