The Lord is good and does good.

"You are good and do good ..." (Ps. 119:68).

God is good.  So He does good to us.

When we are afflicted, God does good to us (vv. 67, 71).

What is God's good will that allows us to suffer?

It is to teach us His commands (v. 71).

It is for us to learn obedience (Heb. 5:8).

It is to teach us good discernment (Ps. 119:6).

It is for us to understand that God has dealt well with us according to His word (v. 65).
