“though he is dead, he still speaks”

“…  “though he is dead, he still speaks” (Heb. 11:4).

The man of faith Abel is already dead, but he is still speaking through faith (v. 4).

Even though he was killed by his older brother Cain (Gen. 4:8)

He offered to God a better sacrifice than Cain, through

which he obtained the testimony that he was righteous (Heb. 11:4).

Although Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith (12:2) came to His own,

But those who were His own didn’t receive Him (Jn. 1:11)

And killed Him on the cross (Lk. 23:18, 21, 23).

Although Jesus died on the cross, His gospel is still preaching all over the world.

Although my beloved father-in-law is already dead, he still speaks through faith.
