This is what pleases God.

In pain and distress (Ps. 69:29) our hearts can be broken and be filled with helplessness (v. 20).

At that time, no matter how much we look for,

we may not be able to receive sympathy and comfort from anyone (v. 20).

Even at such time, we must seek God of salvation in faith with courage (v. 32)

And praise God with thanksgiving (vv. 29-30).

This will please the Lord (v. 31).

"But as for me, I will always have hope; I will praise you more and more" (71:14).
