This is the secret of forgiveness.

We can forgive those who have sinned against us

When we accept the work of God who has worked for our good by faith (Rom. 8:28)

Instead of focusing on what they did to us.

If we think only of the wrongs or sins that they have committed to us,

Then we can never forgive those who have sinned against us.

However, if we understand God’s providence of working for our own good

In the midst of their wrongs and sins against us,

Then God will enable us to forgive them.
