Why was it a raven and a poor widow?

Not only God ordered the ravens to feed the prophet Elijah

But also He commanded a widow in Zarephath of Sidon,

Who had only a handful of flour in a jar and a little oil in a jug

To have a last meal for herself and her son and die, to supply him with food

(1 Kgs. 17:3, 9, 12).

Why did God command the ravens and the poor widow to supply the prophet Elijah?
