What Peter did Jesus see?

Apostle Peter followed Jesus who was being taken away at a distance (Lk. 22:54).

When he denied Jesus three times, the rooster crowed (vv. 55-60)

and the Lord turned and looked straight at Peter (v. 61).

Why did Jesus turn and see Peter?  What Peter did Jesus see?

Did He see Peter who said to Him, “Even if I have to die with You, I will not deny You”? (Mt. 26:35)

Did  He see Peter who denied Him three times?

Or did Jesus see Peter who would become fishers of men in the future? (Mt. 4:19)
