The Christians who mourn ...
"Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted." (Mt. 5:4).
The Christians who mourn ...
- Weep and mourn for their sins (Joel 2:12).
They confess and repent their sins when the Holy Spirit works mightily
as their sins are being exposed through the God’s holy presence
in their intimate fellowship with God
(Mt. 12:41; Rom. 2:4; 2 Cor. 7:10).
- Weep and mourn for the sins of their families (Job 1:5) and of their churches (Rev. 2:5, 22; 3:3).
They confess and repent their sins of not receiving God as the Lord of their families and of their churches, rejecting the Lord’s control and not being submissive to His authoritative Word and not be able to experience God’s presence in their family and church.
- Weep and mourn for the sins of their nations (Ezek. 18:30; Mt. 12:41; Acts 13:24).
They confess and repent the sins of their nations not fearing God and being rebellious to Him.
As a result, the Christians who mourn receive the comfort of the Holy Spirit.
