"Do you not yet understand?"

Jesus is also saying to us, “Do you not yet understand?” (Mk. 8:17, 21)

The reason is because we don’t yet understand due to a hardened heart (v. 17)

When Jesus “did not say to beware of the leaven of bread,

But of the teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees” (Mt. 16:12) as warning (Mk. 8:15).

They thought that Jesus was talking about “the fact they they had no bread” (v. 16).

We must understand.  We must hear the Jesus’ warning and understand.

We must beware of formalism, hypocrisy of Pharisees

And secularism and materialism of Sadducees.
