What is the Father God’s heart?
What is Father God’s heart toward me? (Lam. 3:33)
When I am being afflicted by the rod of His wrath (v. 1),
And when I was walking and dwelling in darkness (vv. 2, 6),
“He has besieged me and surrounded me with bitterness and hardship” (v. 5),
“He has walled me in so I cannot escape; he has weighed me down with chains” (v. 7),
“He has barred my way with blocks of stone” (v. 9),
“I have been deprived of peace” (v. 17).
When “I say, ‘My splendor is gone and all that I had hoped from the LORD’ (v. 18)
And “I thought I was about to be cut off” (v. 54),
“I called on your name, O Lord, from the depths of the pit” (v.55).
But even when I call out or cry for help, He shuts out my prayers (v. 8).
What is the heart of Father God who does this to me? (v. 33)
What was the heart of Father God toward His begotten Son Jesus Christ?
When Jesus was receiving holy and just God’s wrath on the cross and was suffering,
He cried out to Father God, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” (Mt. 27:46)
God rejected the Jesus’ prayer.
