When a wife complains ...

When a wife complains, her husband usually thinks that ‘Here goes again. 

She is complaining again’and he doesn’t like it.

From his logical point of view, what she says doesn’t make sense to him.

Not only that, he thinks that ‘She complains even though I love her that much’

And he gets angry at her.

He even gets discouraged because he can’t understand her and doesn’t know what to do to her.

That’s why we husbands don’t listen to our wives’ complaints and look away.

As a result, dissatisfaction inevitably builds up in her heart.

What should we do?

Husbands!

We should listen to our wives’ complaints.

The reason is because even God listened to the Israelites’ complaints (Exod. 16:9, 12).

And we need to understand what our wives’ dissatisfaction is even through their complaints.

Then we should love our wives with the Lord’s love

So that they would be satisfied in the Lord (Cf. v. 12ff).
