What Satan does …

Satan comes and takes away the word from our hearts,

So that we won’t believe and be saved (Lk. 8:12).

Satan makes us to betray Jesus

When we hear and receive the word of God with joy

By making us not to be rooted firmly in His word

And make us to fall away in time of temptation (v. 13).

Satan brings no fruit to maturity

By making us to be chocked with worries and riches and pleasure of this life (v. 14).

But the Lord makes us to bear fruit with perseverance

By making us to hear His word in an honest and good heart,

And hold it fast (v. 15).
