Let us pray for forgiveness in advance.

At least I want the one who did me wrong realize what he did wrong to me

Even though he doesn’t ask me for forgiveness.

But Jesus prayed to Father God in heaven on the cross,

“Father, forgive them” (Lk. 23:34),

His people, the Jews, who exclaimed ‘Crucify Jesus’

And who didn’t know how great their sins were.

The Spirit-filled deacon Stephen prayed, “Lord, do not hold this sin against them!”,

The Jews who were stoning him (Acts 7:60).

Both of them forgave in advance those who didn’t realize their sins.

If we realize that the Lord has forgiven our many sins in advance,

Then we can offer prayer for forgiveness in advance for those who did wrong to us

Even though they don’t realize what they did wrong to us.
