The foolish rich  ...

The foolish rich trusts in his wealth (Ps. 49:6, 13).  

He boasts in the abundance of his riches (v. 6).

His inner thought is that he should live on eternally (v. 9) and his house is forever (v. 11).

He cannot redeem his brother (v. 7).  He cannot redeem his own soul (v. 8).

He will see that he will leave his wealth to others (v. 10).

He is like the beast that perishes (vv. 12, 20).
