I always thought I couldn’t ...

All along, I always thought I couldn’t do it

But God said, ‘I will do it’.

At that time, I confessed, ‘Amen, I believe that the Lord will do it’.

But as ‘my time’ passes,

I began to say to myself again ‘I can’t’.

I couldn’t wait for ‘God’s time’ anymore.

Now I can’t believe what God said, ‘I will do it’.

So I decided to do it ‘my way’ and moved onto action.

Then I got ‘what I want’.

So now I have confidence that I can do it too.

But that wasn’t ‘what God wanted’.

I couldn’t wait for ‘God’s time’.

I couldn’t believe what God said, ‘I will do it’.

Nevertheless, God did as He said ‘I will do it’ in His time.

The reason is because

“God is not a man, that He should lie”;

Rather He is God who surely does what He has spoken.

(Num. 23:19)
