The listeners can be divided into two groups (Acts 14:3-4).

Those who “had been appointed to eternal life” will believe

And they will rejoice and glorify the word of the Lord (13:48).

And they will follow the Lord and His servant, the pastor (14:4).

But those who are “unworthy of eternal life” will repudiate the word of God (13:46).

And they, who don’t believe, will stir up the minds of the church members

And will embitter them against the pastor (14:2, 4).
