If we have real faith ...

How can we know whether our faith is real or fake?

We will know if we take various trials.

If we have genuine faith,

Then we have assurance of salvation and hope of salvation

Even though we have been distressed by various trials (1 Pet. 1:3-6).

And we will continue to love Him and believe in Him even though we have not seen Him (v. 8).

Therefore, we greatly rejoice

Even though for a little while we have been distressed by various trials (vv. 6, 8; Jam. 1:2).

This faith of ours is more precious than gold which is perishable 1 Pet. 1:7).

When Jesus Christ comes back,

There will be praise and glory and honor for us who have real faith (v. 7).
