Although the king of Egypt tried to deal wisely with the Israelites

Because he and the Egyptians were dread that

The Israelites multiplied and the more they spread out,

And that they might depart from the land of Egypt (Exod. 1:10, 12),

But God actualized what the Egyptian king was afraid of through Moses (3:9-10)

By bringing the Israelites out of the land of Egypt (12:31).
