Intention of God’s guidance of leading 

The people around and to shut them in?

When I look back on my life,

God didn’t lead me to a short cut way as I prayed and expected

But led me around to a long way (Exod. 13:17-18).

Also God led me to a situation where I couldn’t find any solution to my problems,

In a sense I felt like I was trapped, whether I looked at north, south, east and west (14:3).

When I think about why God led me so,

Maybe it is because God wanted to to stand firm

And to see the deliverance of the Lord would bring me (vv. 13-14).
