“You do not want to leave too, do you?”

 

 

“From this time many of his disciples turned back and no longer followed him.  You do not want to leave too, do you?" Jesus asked the Twelve.  Simon Peter answered him, "Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.  We believe and know that you are the Holy One of God.” (Jn. 6:66-69)

 

  1. When many of the disciples left Jesus and no longer followed Him,

I wonder how was Jesus’ heart?

 

  1. When Jesus said to His 12 disciples “You do not want to leave too, do you?”,

I wonder how was Jesus’ heart?

 

  1. When we meditate on Peter’s reply “Lord, to whom shall we go?  You have the words of eternal life”,

I want to ask a question, ‘Are you looking for a new church because of the Lord’s Word of eternal life or because of fellowship with your brothers and sisters in Christ?’
