I was lowered.

I was lowered because of my sin (Ps. 106:43).

My sin is being rebellious in my counsel (vv. 33, 43).

I mingled with the worldly people and learned their practices

And served their idols (vv. 35-36).

Therefore, I became unclean in my practices and played the harlot of their deeds (v. 39).

As a result,

I provoked Him to anger with my deeds and He disciplined me (vv. 29, 40).

And as a result of that discipline, I was lowered (v. 43).
