When I am in despair and disturbed in me …

The reason why I am in despair and disturbed within me

Is because I think that God seems to have forgotten me and forsaken me

When my soul pants for Him and thirst for God.

At that time, I must go to God in prayer, proclaiming to my soul like this:

‘James,

Why are you in despair, O my soul?  And why have you become disturbed within me?

Hope in God,

For I shall again praise Him

For the help of His presence.’

(Ps. Chs. 42, 43).
