They shouldn’t be divided.
The parents shouldn’t be divided in loving their children.
When Rebekah was pregnant,
The children struggled together within her (Gen. 25:21-22).
Then she said, “If it is so, why then am I this way?”
“So she went to inquire of the Lord” (v. 22)
The Lord said to her, “Two nations are in your womb;
And two peoples will be separated from your body …” (v. 23).
But I think what God said “two people will be separated”
Can be applied to Rebekah and her husband Isaac
As their children Esau and Jacob born and were growing up:
“Now Isaac loved Esau, because he had a taste for game, but Rebekah loved Jacob” (v. 28).
