I want to be broken by understanding.

I pray that the indwelling Holy Spirit (Rom. 5:5)

Makes us understand the Word of God.

I pray that the Spirit

Pierces my conscience (Acts 2:37) with the sword of the Spirit

That is the Word of God (Eph. 6:17),

Keeps breaking my hardening heart with the Word of God

That is like a hammer (Jere. 23:29),

Continues to melt my cold heart with the Word of god

That is like fire (v. 29).
