The blacksmith Lord who makes us to go through the furnace of affliction

The Lord the Blacksmith makes us to go through the furnace of affliction (Isa. 48:10).

The purpose is to test our hearts (Prov. 17:3),

And to remove the dross from us

So that we may come forth as gold (Job 23:10) and a vessel for the smith (Prov. 25:4)

So that the Lord can use us

As an instrument for noble purpose (2 Tim. 2:21).
