“A voice of one calling in the desert”

Yesterday, October 6, 2011, on my 44th birthday morning prayer, I’ve received the Word of God Matthew 3:3 – “This is he who was spoken of through the prophet Isaiah: "A voice of one calling in the desert, 'Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for him’.”

I want to be like John the Baptist, a voice of one calling in the desert (v.3).

I want to be like John the Baptist who preached “Repent, for the kingdom of haven is near” (v.2).

I hope and pray to see that people came out to him “from Jerusalem and all Judea and the whole region of the Jordan” (v.5), confessing their sins and were baptized (v.6).

I want to be like John the Baptist who prepared the way for the Lord (v.3).

I want to be like John the Baptist who make straight paths for Him (v.3).

As I pray, expect and wait for the Second coming of the Lord,

I want to become a voice of one calling in the desert as I live in this desert-like world.

May there be the work of repentance and of salvation by the Lord!
