We give thanks to God.
Today, as we give thanks to God for His abundant blessings throughout the year 2008, I want give thanks to God concerning all of you like Apostle Paul who gave thanks to God as he was writing a letter to the Thessalonians. There are 3 reasons why I give thanks to God: The first reason is because of your work produced by faith. I thank God when I think about you coming to church every Sunday and worship God. Also, I thank God when you put effort in trying to learn and study the Word of God. You read the Bible 3 chapters a day and 5 chapters during the weekend in order to finish the whole Bible within a year. You are committed to His Word.
When I see you stand firm in faith in the midst of your difficulties and hardships, I cannot but give thanks to the Lord. The second reason why I give thanks to God is because of your labor prompted by love. I thank God when I think about our Elementary Group. Every Sunday 11 am, they come together and worship God – whether they are Korean Ministry children or Hispanic Ministry children. Seeing their love for one another, I give thanks to God. The third reason why I give thanks to God is because of your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ. In this world, there is too much worries, anxieties and sins. And there are too many deaths. That’s why more and more our church should have hope in the Lord and lives in faith and love. With this hope in God, whatever hardship and sufferings that we may have to face, we must endure them with hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.
