Ransomed

“And the ransomed of the LORD will return.  They will enter Zion with singing; everlasting joy will crown their heads. Gladness and joy will overtake them, and sorrow and sighing will flee away.” (Isaiah 35:10).

This past week, I heard the news that in one of the central America, people are buying children as their slaves.  They pay money to buy children so that the children can be their slaves.  How can this happen in 21st century?  God has bought us with the price of His one and only Son’s death on the cross.  He did so not to make us His slave but freemen and His children.  He ransomed us with the precious blood of Jesus Christ.  And He gave us not only eternal life but eternal hope as well.  He gave up His own Son’s life in order to give us eternal life.  The time is coming for us to enter into His heaven.  And in heaven there will be no more sorrow and sighing; rather, there is everlasting joy and gladness.  What a grace of God!
