Repentance of the heart related to forgiveness of sins

The beginning of the gospel (good news) of God's Son, Jesus Christ,

is that, as God spoke through the prophet Isaiah,

He sent John the Baptist in the wilderness to proclaim

repentance of the heart related to the forgiveness of sins,

which is a holistic and fundamental change (Hokma).

By doing so, God prepared the way of the Lord and made it straight

(Mark 1:1-4).

As we await, hope for, and expect the second coming of Jesus,

like John the Baptist, we must also proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ

(good news) in this world, like a wilderness,

while preaching repentance of the heart

related to the forgiveness of sins.

By doing this, we will prepare

the way for the Lord's return and make it straight.

Like John the Baptist and Jesus,

we must also proclaim, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near!"

[“The kingdom of heaven has come near! Repent!” (Korean Modern Bible)]

(Matthew 3:2; 4:17).
