Why didn't Jesus tell them that his heart was
so deeply troubled that he was ready to die?
Jesus, who went to a place called Gethsemane with His disciples,
told the eight disciples, "Sit here while I go over there and pray,"
and then took only three disciples—Peter, and the two sons of Zebedee, John and James—
with Him. He said to them, "My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death.
Stay here and keep watch with Me" (Matthew 26:36-38, Korean Modern Bible).
Why did Jesus tell the eight disciples,
"...you stay here" and not share with them that His soul
was deeply troubled and at the point of death?
Why did He not tell them, "Stay here and keep watch with Me,"
but only spoke these words to Peter, John, and James?
