He does not know the words of Deuteronomy 8:17-18.

A person who confidently says,

'Surely I am rich. I have earned my wealth through my own efforts,

so no one will find anything wrong with me' (Hosea 12:8)

is someone who does not know the words of Deuteronomy 8:17-18:

'You should not think that it is by your own strength and power

that you have become wealthy.

Remember that it is the Lord your God

who gives you the ability to produce wealth ....'
