If the leaders of the church are those who rebel against God ...

If the leaders of the church are those who rebel against God,

God will drive them out of His house because their actions are evil

and He will never love them again

(Ref.: Hosea 9:15).

If the pastors whom people have appointed

have made idols of their hearts with money,

this will be their destruction

(Ref.: Hosea 8:4).

If we are stubborn like stubborn heifers,

how can the Lord feed us like lambs in the pasture?

(Ref.: Hosea 4:16)

If we idolize money and choose to follow it,

we will be broken and crushed by God's judgment

(Ref.: Hosea 5:11; Matthew 6:24).

If we are attached to money as an idol,

and if the Lord leaves us to love and pursue money as spiritual prostitutes,

then we are rejoicing in shame and we will surely be put to shame

because of our love of money

(Ref.: Hosea 4:17-19).

If we are not living a Christ-centered life (or church-centered life),

we will sow much but harvest little, we will eat but not be satisfied,

we will drink but not have our fill, we will wear clothes but not be warm,

and we will earn wages only to put them in a purse with holes.
In other words, if we are not living a Christ-centered life (or church-centered life),

no matter how much we expect to reap, we will receive little,

and even what we bring home, God will blow away.
The reason for this is that, while the house of God remains in ruins,

we have been preoccupied only with our own homes
(Ref.: Haggai 1:6, 9).

If the Lord tests us, His church, with a 'plumb line'

['a line with a weight (such as a stone or metal) attached to it.

This tool was used to check the vertical alignment of walls

during construction' (Internet)], could it be that

our spiritual or moral state is already crooked and at risk of collapse?
