God’s power is eternal and everlasting!

King Darius issued a decree to all the nations and peoples in his empire:

'Let everyone in my kingdom fear and worship the God of Daniel.

He is the living God who endures forever; His kingdom will not be destroyed,

and His power will last to the end. He rescues and delivers;

He performs signs and wonders in heaven and on earth.

He has rescued Daniel from the power of the lions'

(Daniel 6:25-27).

When I reflect on this decree, I receive several lessons:

(1) Our God is the living God!

(2) Our God will rule us forever, and His kingdom will never be destroyed!

(3) God’s power is eternal and everlasting!

(4) God performs wonders and miracles, rescuing and delivering us.

(5) God will ensure that we, His children, will never become prey to the enemy.
