We look to the eternal kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ.

This is the message from 2 Peter 1:11:

'And you will receive a rich welcome

into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.'

What we focus on is the eternal kingdom of our Savior Jesus Christ.

Although we currently live in various countries of this world,

which are like a wilderness, the country we long for

is the eternal kingdom of our Savior Jesus Christ.

We are merely sojourners in this world (Hebrews 11:13).

We are longing for our better heavenly homeland (v. 16).

'God has rescued us from the dominion of darkness

and brought us into the kingdom of the Son He loves' (Colossians 1:13).

Therefore, we seek first His kingdom and His righteousness (Matthew 6:33).

When the Lord calls us,

we will enter the eternal kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Therefore, we must be even more diligent

to make our calling and election sure (2 Peter 1:10).

By doing so, we will not fall, and we will 'be richly welcomed

into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ' (v. 11).
