Perhaps the Lord is saying to us now:

Perhaps the suffering we are experiencing now

is something we have invited upon ourselves

by forsaking the Lord when He led us

Perhaps God, as a result of our unrepentant sins ...

Perhaps God, as a result of our unrepentant sins,

administers loving discipline so that during times of crisis,

He may take good care of us, restore us with His grace,

give us a heart to know Him, and lead us to return to Him wholeheartedly
