“Comfort, comfort my people” (Isaiah 40:1)

The verse “Comfort, comfort my people, says your God” (Isaiah 40:1)

is the Scripture my third uncle, before he passed into the Lord's embrace, gave to me,

the senior pastor of Victory Presbyterian Church, as the sermon text for his funeral service,

requesting (as his last will) that I lead his funeral service.

The late Pastor Andrew Kim wanted to comfort the mourners who would attend his funeral

even in the face of his imminent death during his battle with cancer.

I also pray that the Lord will comfort the mourners who will attend my funeral

and mourn my death with His words.
