A wise person thinks a lot about death.
A wise person thinks a lot about death.
He knows that the day of death is better than the day of birth,
and going to a funeral is better than going to a wedding.
He also knows that sorrow is better than laughter
because one can learn something new from sorrow.
A wise person understands that it is good to keep in mind
the fact that everyone will eventually die.
Listening to the rebuke of such a wise person
is better than hearing the praise of a foolish person
who only thinks about the immediate pleasures before them
(Ref.: Ecclesiastes 7:1-5).
