I am a servant of the Lord like the prophet Jonah.

The Lord's servant, the prophet Jonah, disobeyed God's command,

endangering the unbelieving captain and sailors who were with him on the ship

(Jonah 1:1-10).

In contrast, the Lord's servant, the Apostle Paul,

while preaching the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ,

ultimately stood trial before the Roman Emperor

(Acts 25:10-21).

While traveling to Italy on a ship with other prisoners,

the ship and all 276 people on board faced mortal danger.

When all hope of survival seemed lost, Paul received a promise from God,

comforted everyone on board, and ultimately, everyone was saved (Acts 27).

I reflect on myself and introspect whether I am a servant of the Lord

like the Apostle Paul or a servant of the Lord like the prophet Jonah.
