The fear of God is the way to live and enjoy a satisfying life

by turning away from evil and keeping his own way

(Ref.: Proverbs 16:17).

A wise and honest couple who fear God

A wise and honest couple who fear God

will not harm their family by greedy for ill-gotten gains

(Ref.: Proverbs 15:27).

To fear God is to hate evil.

God hates pride, arrogance, evil conduct, and lying lips

(Proverbs: 8:13).

Those who fear God ...

Those who fear God live honestly,

but those who despise God walk a wrong and crooked path

(Proverbs 14:2).

Fearing God is the first step to knowledge ...

Fearing God is the first step to knowledge (Ref.: Proverbs 1:7) and hating evil (8:13),

but looking at my own foolishness in not thoroughly hating evil,

I have not yet taken even the first step to knowledge.

I have no choice but to admit it.
