A person who loves folly

wastes their wealth by associating with prostitutes

(Ref.: Proverbs 29:3).

 

 

How long will I, a foolish person ...

 

How long will I, a foolish person,

hate the knowledge of God and delight in foolishness?

(Ref.: Proverbs 1:22)

How long will I love everything in this world—

the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life

(Ref.: 1 John 2:16)—

more than the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord

(Philippians 3:8) and the knowledge of God and His word?

(Ref.: Hosea 4:6)

Oh, what a wretched person I am!

(Ref.: Romans 7:24)

 

 

 

A foolish person vs. a wise person

 

A foolish person broadcasts their folly,

but a wise person keeps their knowledge to themselves

(Proverbs 12:23).

 

 

A companion of fools suffers harm!

 

Walk with the wise and become wise,

for a companion of fools suffers harm

(Proverbs 13:20).

 

 

Do not answer a fool according to his folly.

 

Do not answer a fool according to his folly, or you yourself will be like him.

Answer a fool according to his folly, so that he does not think he is wise

(Proverbs 26:4-5).
